Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our services.
I’m interested in making an appointment, what happens now?
I typically prefer to have an initial 20-minute consultation with an individual before scheduling the first appointment. During this session we will determine if there is a good fit and if all parties are comfortable to move forward and schedule future appointments. Prior to the first meeting, I will provide a link to my online portal. Through the portal, the client will complete the paperwork before our first session. The client can then schedule ongoing appointments through the client portal.
What can I expect for my first session?
Please anticipate the initial session to be a 50-minutes. During this time, we will discuss the reasons that bring you to therapy and what to expect from treatment. We seek to explore various approaches and techniques that have been utilized in the past and create goal for our sessions moving forward. I work to create a safe space in which the individual feels comfortable and confident opening up about the struggles they may be experiencing.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance. Restore & Reconcile is an out-of-network provider, meaning that we are able to provide every client with a “superbill” allowing you to be reimbursed for up to 80% of your out-of-pocket therapy costs.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Discounted sessions are available on a limited number of sessions. These are based on proof of income and the total number of seats. We can discuss financial needs during the consultation call.
Can you provide video therapy to anyone?
Only Georgia residents are able to receive video therapy at this time. All clients must complete a tele-therapy assessment for fit during their first session to make sure they can receive virtual services.
